David Brancato first entered the world of street painting in 1998 during his senior year at Colonial High School in Orlando, FL. He attended the Rotary Orlando Street Painting Festival that year as an AP art student under the direction of his teacher, Felipe Morales. David participated in the Downtown Orlando festival again the next year, and then another street painting festival at Universal Orlando City-Walk the following year. In 2001 David began street painting in the Downtown Disney Festival of the Masters. He participated in this festival for the next five years, during which time he won three consecutive second place awards and two consecutive first place awards. After a hiatus from street painting for several years he was invited to the Sarasota Chalk Festival in 2010 and decided to enroll in Ringling College of Art & Design for Computer Animation and 3D modeling.
